Abby is a beautiful 4yr old classic fawn girl with natural ears and a docked tail. She was found by Animal Control in GA nearly starved to death and was brought here by a caring volunteer to recover. Abby is back at a healthy weight, has been spayed, and is starting treatment for heartworms thanks to her sponsor Stephanie. Abby is good with kids, cats, and other dogs and is looking for a loving forever home. Please contact me if you are interested in meeting Abby. Her adoption fee is 225.00

I Am An Animal Rescuer

My job is to assist God's creatures
I was born with the need to fulfill their needs
I take in new family members without plan, thought, or selection
I have bought dog food with my last dime
I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand
I have hugged someone vicious and afraid
I have fallen in love a thousand times
and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body
I have Animal Friends and friends who have Animal Friends
I don't often use the word "pet"
I notice those lost at the road side
And my heart aches
I will hand raise a field mouse
And make friends with a vulture
I know of no creature unworthy of my time
I want to live forever if there aren't animals in Heaven
But I believe there are!
Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind?
We may be master of the animals,
But the animals have mastered themselves
Something people still haven't learned
War and abuse make me hurt for the world
But a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for humankind
We are a quiet but determined army
And making a difference every day
There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan
Nothing more rewarding than saving a life
No higher recognition than watching them thrive
There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play
who only days ago, was too weak to eat
I am an Animal Rescuer

Baggage

Now that I'm all home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I'd like to open my baggage lest I forget,
There is so much to carry, so much to regret.
Hmmmmm, Yes, there it is right on the top,
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame,
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough; for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things and take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, To never repack?
I pray that you do; I'm so tired, you see.
But I do come with baggage; will you still want me?

AKC's ILP Program

All ArchAngel fosters can be registered with the AKC with an Indefinite Listing Privilege ( ILP ) number. The ILP is designed to allow dogs to participate in AKC Companion and Preformance events. The AKC events that an ILP Boxer can participate in are:

* Agility Trials
* Obedience Trials
* Rally Trials
* Tracking Trials
* Herding Tests and Trials
* Lure Coursing
* Earthdog Trials
* Hunt Tests
* Junior Showmanship

The Indefinite Listing Privelege ILP allows the the dog and owner a second chance at discovering the rewards of participationg in AKC events.
Applications for enrollment into the ILP can be downloaded at www.akc.org (link to downloadable ILP form) or by emailing ILP@akc.org When requesting a form via email please include your name and current mailing address.

THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH A COMPLETED APPLICATION :

* Two Color photographs of your dog:
    -One standing in profile
    -One head-on showing the facial
    characteristics of the dog.
* Proof from a veterinarian that the dog has been
spayed / neutered.
* A 25.00 Application Fee

Once Compiled, the completed ILP application along with the items listed above should be mailed to :
